December 11, 2006 Holidays are coming...

Happy Holidays!!

To update you all...Nathaniel had a great 9th birthday and Lela had a fabulous 40th birthday!!

Lela is sleeping a little better with her CPAP machine, except for this week...she has a cold and her head is all congested. Scott misses the silence that the machine brings from her snoring. LOL

Lela had her EMG testing done and that showed that her right leg is much weaker than her left. She has been referred to the pain clinic for steriod shots and to an orthopedic surgeon for back surgery to clip the bulging discs to free the pinched nerves. Hopefully this will help the right leg/foot from all of the nerve problems and weakness. (this is the foot she had surgery on earlier this summer).

Her pain clinic appt. is tomorrow, Tuesday, December 12th at 2 p.m. in Ann Arbor at the Michigan Pain Clinic on Green Road.

Her surgeon just called (Monday, December 11th at 11:30 a.m.) and scheduled her appt. to meet with the surgeon to discuss future and possible surgery for THIS WEDNESDAY, December 13th at 10:00 a.m. WOW, things are moving really fast here.

Scott is praying about taking the day off and going with me or not. This appt. is in Lansing on Jolly Road.

Please pray that God will direct and lead these doctors in what is the best treatment for me and that we will have a peace about it all.

Scott really needs your prayers too. He is struggling with being very tired and over-whelmed. He really could use a refreshing of the joy of the Lord and encouragement from everyone.

We have started trying to re-do the bathroom in the hallway and have found that we need to tear up the floor and re-do that as well. More work and more money...of course. :-) Pray that we will find the deals and move forward.

We are trying to get our newsletters out this week. We are only waiting on MMS to approve them. This will be a great load lifted once these are in the mail. :-)
