November...We Are Thankful For...
As I look outside the window today, on this Thursday, November 2, 2006 and watch it snow...(that is right, it is snowing and sticking to the ground), I am so thankful for so many things.
Last night, Scott and I had our first Prayer and Planning session. While the boys are at Youth on Wednesday's we have decided to use that time to pray and plan the future and make decisions that we need to make. We found it very productive.
We are officially done with the High School Youth Sponsor's Ministry and this Sunday is Scott's last Sunday playing on the worship team, so that will free up some more nights in the month. We are going full force in raising support and are focusing on trying to get things done. Our goal is still the same; to move to Ohio by January...February the latest. We would like to make the transition as close to the new year as possible.
Scott's work is slowing down even more. They are down to basically 4 guys. Scott has made his goal of making it to November 1st. That was his anniversary date and his 6 year mark. He had to work there 6 years to be vested. Praise the Lord that he made it. We were afraid he would be laid off right before hand, but the Lord is so faithful.
Yesterday, Scott spoke to his professor about the 2 classes that he took over the summer. He had turned the work in over Labor day and was suppose to hear from his professor about the exam...well, his professor has waived the exam and he is officially done with those two classes. He has one class left for his degree and it is Intro. to Soc., but the prof. said it wouldn't be ready for Scott to take until January sometime. It will be a correspondence class. Praise the Lord for that too. We were hoping to get it done before we left, but God knows all things.
Well, over the last 2 weeks we have mailed out 42 letters. So, now we wait and see what God is going to do. We are at 62% funded. That is about $1500.00/mo that we need pledged and $1500.00 in Special Donations that we still need before we are allowed to go to MMS.
That is our prayer: that God would bring in the funds needed, in His time and that we would be productive in our time that He has given us to work for Him!
