October 2, 2006 - Tool Time Update
Wow, God has blown us away with blessings from you all. Scott has received 50% of the amount needed for his tools. Praise GOD!!!!! I mean, exactly 50%....how exciting. One of our prayer warriors said she kept getting the number 50 whenever she prayed about the tool party and thought it meant 50 guys would come, and my 12 year old son, Matthew, went to our youth's prayer time (Thursdays at 6 a.m.) this past week and said that while he was praying about it, he asked God what the number 50 meant and he got a vision of the percent sign. So, we all started wondering if that meant 50% of the invitations were coming. We were trying to figure out the food quantity and all. We thought for a moment about 1/2 of what Scott needed and smiled and said "that would be a miracle and awesome", knowing that nothing is too big for our God!! But, we went back to the number of people coming... We know that more is on the way from different ones letting us know that they were sorry to miss it but that they are sending something. We are still in shock and amazed. Scott and I, along with our boys, have truly been blessed by you all and desire for God to reward you all greatly.
Scott did have a thought, on his tool box he has a piece of plastic (of some kind) and under that is a photo of our boys and all, but he wants to add the names who have blessed us and even their unsaved loved ones that he can continue to pray for as he grabs for a tool and uses it for God's glory. If you have someone specific that you would like covered: child, spouse, parent, etc. , please let us know so we can add him/her to the list. Also, please let us know of updates on that person as to how God is at work in their life.
We spoke at a church here is Brighton last night, Faith Temple Church, and is was so much fun. They are such a loving church with a huge heart for God. They continued to bless our socks off. They not only took an offering for Scott's needed tools, but their Royal Rangers and Gems kids have been selling candy bars as a fund raiser to help raise money for us and have sent $100 towards our Rapid Response Fund. That is amazing!! They are so small but yet are doing such big things...remind you of anyone?? Maybe someone like DAVID. Their little stones are bringing down the big giant. Praise God!! It makes me cry just thinking about it.
God has really been teaching us so much through this whole process. He has really put special people into our lives and is showing Himself so much through them. Thank you all for being such servants to our King and for allowing Him to use you so mightily to help advance His kingdom.
It is a pleasure serving with you,
Lela and boyz
