The Road is a little longer...

Just an update on my foot situation...I went back to Dr. Fong this past Tuesday to get my first post-op check up and I thought to get all of the bandages removed....for good. Apparently, I was dreaming...because he put another one right back on...for 3 weeks!!!! He told me to stay off of it as much as possible and to use the crutches when I am up. That was not what I thought was suppose to happen. I have things to do...you know?? I have 4 boys...a house...dinner to do...etc. Didn't help, he said no!
I saw my incision and a lot of writing on my foot. He showed me where he had marked the nerve, tendon, and main artery. I asked him what that black line was...dahhhh...it was my new beauty mark. AAAUUUGGGHHHHH!!!!! I thought it was going to be a little tiny cut and maybe 2 stitches...not from my toes to my ankles (about 3-31/2 inches). Oh my!!
There is some good news in all of this tho, he was able to remove it all and when he was in there removing it, he found that it had a stem growing out of it, which made him have to cut more to remove it. The stem was trying to attach itself to the nerve. He said even tho the mass had gotten smaller than when I had first started coming to him about 2 months ago, it was still a pretty good size one. The Pathology Lab measured it to be 1.5 X 1.0 cm and called it a Hemangioma tumor. The important thing is that it is benign. He is having the stem part retested to make sure it is benign as well. That part really concerned him.
The big red mark on top of my foot is still there, but no bump!
I really thank God for making it smaller in size and for making the 2 that was right below my big toe dissolve. Praise God for it being benine too!!! I totally give God all the Glory and Praise for this report, even tho I don't like being still for so long, I am grateful for all of the good that has been answered from all of your prayers.
Thank you all for your prayers, both past and present and for the future ones. May God bless you all.
Lela~
