Wow, July already...

Wow, it is already July. Where did June go? Our time in Ohio was exciting and exhausting. We made it through with the Lord's help and your prayers. Well, today I sent the official email to MMS accepting their invitation to join their MMS family. We spoke to our boys and to our Missions Director and all of them gave us the green light to go forward.
Now we are in the process of support raising. MMS has forms for us to fill out monthly on our progress of doing just that. It is a way they hold us accountable and make sure we are working at getting there.
Other updates:
*My foot: I am scheduled for out-patient surgery next Monday, July 17th to remove the "unknown" lumps. The biopsy came back as they guessed. It is one of 3 things: diabetes, hormones, or "they don't know". They are leaning towards the first but my blood work came back good.
*Scott has a heart doctor appointment at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday the 25th of July.
*Shaughn starts drivers education next Tuesday, the 18th.
Everyone else is doing great. We had a great time of visiting with our families. Scott's sister and her family was up when we got back from Ohio, they left last Saturday and my mom and sister came up last Saturday and left this past Saturday. We found ourselves sleeping the whole weekend away except for going to church. We were so exhausted. Scott now feels a little more pressure to get busy with his school. He has 2 classes to finish by the end of August.
This past Friday was Scott and my 16th Wedding Anniversary. What a blessing to be with your best friend and to share your life with them for such a sweet time. We are looking very forward to the next 16+ years. We dated 6 years before we were married, so I tell him I have been with him for 22 years actually. He just laughs at me.
Matthew turns 12 this Thursday. You would think he was turning 16 and ready to take on the world. I am trying to think of something to make it special for him. Any cheap ideas???
While my mom was here, she took a couple of family photos for us. I attached one on here for you to see.
I pray that the Lord blesses each one of you with a great summer. Thank you for your prayers and for the wonderful BBQ that was thrown for us upon our return from MMS.
FYI: Brian and Stu are throwing Scott a "Tool Shower" on Saturday, August 19th at Noon at BCC. Scott is registering at Sears and Snap On online. Kate has a complete tool list and will have Scott's list soon. Please mark your calendar guys and get ready for your own party. This was something that MMS suggested and the prayer team loved it. This will help Scott get his tools that he needs before arriving at MMS.
I think that is about it for the updates...I will post more as they come to mind. I really wanted to catch everyone up a little. God bless you all and hope to hear from you soon.
Blessings,
Lela~
