Prince of Peace

Jesus is the Prince of Peace and we have seen that more and more in the last week. After losing two of our dear friends and brothers in Christ, we have seen what a mighty Peace He is. In both cases, the widow's were filled with His peace and comfort. Although they grieved, they both had a non-describable peace that was beyond our human understanding, but not our spiritual understanding. It was such a blessing to see 'God at work'.
Our family feels very drained this week. Emotionally that is. Last Wednesday we were at a 'Celebration of Life' service for a friend in our church and yesterday we were at another 'Celebration of Life' service for a new, but dear friend from MMS in Ohio. Both of these men were young...one was 43 and the other was only 36. Both of them had small children that were left behind and both of them died from Stage 4 Cancer. They are both in Heaven and fully rejoicing right now. We will be so excited to see them again.
As far as our support raising goes, we have taken a couple of weeks off due to the issues above. We know that God never takes time off and He is always about the Father's business and steps in on our behalf when we are weak for He is strong.
After going to MMS yesterday for the 'Celebration of Life' service, we were told by a couple of the men there that due to a lot of the guys graduating and with Chris going "home", the help has decreased very much but the work has actually doubled. They are eager for Scott to get there, needless to say. We told them to pray for God's timing. The president of MMS, Dwight Jarboe, took us out to the hanger to show us the new hanger that has been built since we were there in June. They were tearing down the old hanger when we were there in June and putting up a much larger one with heated floors...very cool. They are almost done with the new one and it was very exciting.
The last aircraft project that Chris worked on was an aircraft that had been in a really bad crash and that had to be pulled out of the ocean. Chris and his teams worked on this aircraft for a year and a half. The weekend before he went into the hospital (Oct. 14-15th), Dana drove Chris out to the hanger and he was able to see the aircraft completely put together and sitting there finished. He was so excited to see it. Yesterday, at the funeral service, for the first time, Ian from MMS flew the plane over the church parking lot (they had everyone gather outside at the end) two times...there wasn't a dry eye in the parking lot. To see the work and passion that Chris had for fixing planes and to see it fly after so long, and to know that it was going to go on and serve the Lord in this way, was such a great thing to witness. May the Lord be praised...now and forever!!
We want to thank all of you for all of your prayer coverage. God bless you all!!!
