Out of the dark...

Greetings from a glasses-free person....:-) well, almost. Surgery went really well and was extremely painful!!! It took about a week to be able to open my eyes and then I had to deal with the sensitivity to light. Wow, what a ride. Shaughn did fabulous driving me back and forth. He still won't let me drive even tho the doctor has finally released me to be able to drive. :-) He isn't convinced that I can see well enough yet. Things are still pretty blurry but they said that will take some time to heal and focus. It will take up to a month. I can tell an improvement each day. I have my contact bandages removed now and that helps my eyes drying out so much. I am still on Steroids and antibiotic drops each day 4X/day. I will be on those for the next month. I go back to see the surgeon on May 7th. Pray for continued healing and no infections.

My kids did great and was a huge help. I appreciate them so much. I couldn't have had better help. :-)

Scott has finished his last class (Galations and Cults) and is now finishing his Sociology class which is out of classroom. He is pretty excited about graduating in a couple of weeks. It is cute to watch him.

Jeremiah is sick. He started Tuesday night at Scott's dad's house. He can't keep anything down and is just miserable. He has slept a lot today. He is very clingy and wants mommy "all the time". I love the moments of holding him but am not getting much else done. He is sleeping on the couch right now...(I slid off after he fell asleep). If he doesn't start eating something soon, I will take him in. He tries but hasn't been very successful.

Scott's mom's surgery went well. She is still keeping her head down to help the healing. We spent the first week on the phone "listening" to the T.V. together. Neither of us could see a thing. It was pretty funny. Scott's sister and her kids came up for spring break and to help Stephanie out. It has been great seeing them again. I wish they lived closer. The boys all get along so well. Aunt Cindy came today and took them all (except Jeremiah) to see the movie "Meet the Robinsons". They had fun. She spoils them!! :-) They love it.

Cindy said her church had us on the agenda for this past Thursday night's Mission's meeting. She said it looked like they were probably going to join our team but not sure how much. She has been waiting to hear the results all week but will probably have to wait until she gets home. :-)

Well, I hope I haven't made a mess out of this post as it is pretty blurry to me. I am totally going on my typing skills. :-) Please forgive me for any mistakes. I just wanted to get something out to update you as to what is happening here.

Oh yeah, the family who went to evaluation after us last year at MMS has started emailing us and it has been fun to get to know them a little. They emailed this week and said they are at 25% now and asked us to remember them in prayers to help them reach their level needed as well. They are Paul & Kristy Gettle.

We are so blessed to have you praying on our behalf. Thank you all!!
Those on our team who need prayer as well are:
Dot Gregory....broken leg, in Austria, swelling and giving self shots for blood clots prevention.
Sluis Family....moving to FL in June. Job change, selling house, adjustments for family
Reece Family....selling of house, Sean in TX and Trisha & Boys here,
Stephanie...continued eye healing, infection in toe (healing), back issues
Gentrys...traveling mercies to and from Mexico this week
Sokolowskis...traveling mercies from FL from vacation, Heather has unspoken request,
Judy...loss of mother...God's continued peace, comfort and mercies

I am sure there are more, but I don't have the paper from the meeting...Scott does and he is now here. :-) Let's remember each other and keep each other lifted up. I love you all!!! Bless you and have a great week.

Lela and boyz~
