Blessings
Good morning everyone,
God is so good. I thought I would give you a praise note this morning. We received a call last night from one of the churches we spoke at and they have decided to support us. Praise the Lord!!
They were such a friendly church in SC and it is exciting to have them join our team. We are already looking forward to going back and visiting them when it is time to give an update.
We are currently at 65% now. Yeah!!
Our dessert night, last Thursday, went really well. It was a lot of fun and great to see old friends and catch up.
Scott and I went to the ACMC Missions Conference this weekend, Shaughn and Matthew went all day Saturday too, and we all were greatly encouraged and learned some great nuggets. There were some really good speakers!! We got some new reading material and are adding that to our reading time. Jim & Dot owned some of the ones we wanted so they are letting us borrow them, Thank you!! The boys are reading one they loaned us and Shaughn is already 1/2 done with it. He said it is "really good"! It is for the high school/college age and it is called "livelifeonpurpose" by Claude Hickman. The line below the title says "God's Purpose. Your Life. One Journey."
Scott is studying away. Yesterday was devoted to Sociology and tonight he has a study group set up with 2 other guys to study the Galatians & Cult class. He is fighting a huge migraine today and needs prayer. He said his head was killing him. He hasn't gotten them in a while, but when he does get them, they are usually really bad. So that is a prayer request.
I go today to see the eye doctor for my 2 hour appt. to see if I am a candidate for Lazar eye surgery. Scott goes on Wednesday. Scott has a Health Reimbursement account at work that we have never touched and it has enough in it for us to both get the surgery done. We would like to do this before leaving.
I have one other request, please pray for Jeremiah. He seems to be going through something where he says, "what?" alot and says he can't hear me. I thought it might be a phase, but I am not so sure. I am praying about taking him in and see what they say but at the same time, I don't want to over react. He is the only child that has not had to have tubes as a baby. I know his speech isn't super clear and I wonder if that is because he doesn't hear clearly. Please pray that I would have direction and wisdom as to what to do and for God to "heal" if there is something going on. He is such a sweet baby that I don't want anything to be wrong. I love him so much!
Also please remember:
- Sean Reece is moving to Texas today and Trisha and the boys are staying here until their house sells.
- Jim & Dot are leaving tomorrow for Austria for 8 weeks.
- Stephanie (Scott's mom) is going in today to the eye doctor and possibly setting up eye surgery for a condition that exists. She needs a healing touch and wisdom. She also is seeing the same surgeon today for her back that I am seeing next Tuesday. She also is need of back surgery like me.
- Heather Sokolowski needs a healing touch and wisdom as to how to reconstruct her workout routines due to health issues.
Lela and Scott
