March 8th, Lela's visit to the Pain Clinic

Greetings all,

I went to the pain clinic today and they did the "discography". It was VERY painful!! I am in lots of pain still. I am laying on ice and taking many drugs... the results from this test showed that this doctor is recommending either a fusion or some other procedure that we can't read very clearly but it looks less painful...we think.
He referred me to a surgeon as well and to a pain psychologist (since I have been in pain for so many years). The surgeon called me this afternoon and has scheduled to see me on Tuesday, March 27th at 9 a.m. So, we will see from there.
They did mention that the pain I am in will increase in the next 24-48 hours before it decreases. That was very comforting...NOT!! I am not allowed to drive or make any major decisions. (too funny ay??)
Thank you for your prayers and I am very grateful that this part is over.

On another note: Scott met with the friend of Mack and Mary Lu today and was blessed beyond his dreams with tools. He gave him tools that he never imagined having. Very neat!!

The end of our trip was very cool. We went to the Saint Louis Zoo on Monday and spent the day. It was a very, very cool zoo and it was free! The kids loved it and we stayed all day then drove home. We arrived home about 4-4:30 a.m. on Tuesday. That gave us a couple of days to recoup and do laundry before returning to work and this procedure thing today.

Scott's sister and brother-in-law are speaking tonight on our behalf to their missions team at their church. We are very excited waiting to hear how that went. We will let you know soon.

My mom called me and told me that their pastor may be leaving to pastor another church about 4 hours away from them. Their church is already committed to support us and she felt this could possibly open up another door for us because he really likes us alot. That would be another God thing. He is just amazing us everywhere. We all are so loved by our Heavenly Father.

Blessings for now,
Lela~
