The Eye Appt. Update And More Blessings

I went to the Kellogg Eye Center on Monday and had to go back today to redo a couple of the tests to confirm what they saw. I went back and redid the tests and the tests confirm that my eyes are not a perfect circle. What does that mean you say, well, it means that it can have the corrective surgery but not the one which is less painful. I have to have the Lasek one which is much more painful but has the same results. He said it is the one that the Airforce requires their pilots to have because it is safer and there is no "flap" involved. He said it will feel like a huge scratch across each eye and be extremely painful for about 4-6 days. I will not be able to do anything but lay down in a dark room for that time period. My vision will be very blurred for about 2 weeks at which time it should start clearing up and within a month be great. My surgery for my eyes is scheduled for Tuesday, April 3rd at 9:30 a.m., which is the same day as Scott's mom's eye surgery (for another reason tho).

He said once I get the clearance for my vision then I can go to the Sec. of State and have my eye test redone and have it taken off of my drivers license. I may still have to have reading glasses, like the ones you get from Target or something, but nothing for distance and everyday use. :-) How exciting. Scott has decided not to get his done but told me to go ahead and get mine done.

After I got home from the appt. today I had an email waiting for me...we are now 67% funded!!!! Isn't that too cool and so God!! Plus a few minutes after reading that email a church in Dearborn Heights called and asked if we would come and share with them.

One of our team members, who is a licensed massage therapist, asked if she could give me a massage to help with my back pain. So this morning I went and did that. She is blessing me with this service free of charge. What a blessing!!!!! God is so good. It was such a blessing to talk with her while she was doing the massage and she even blessed me by praying over me during the massage. She said I needed to have some people intercede on my behalf for my back, specifically, and to pray over me in person for healing too. I am so blessed to have you guys doing just that. I appreciate you guys (and gals) :-) soooo much!!! Thank you all!!!!

Scott got his official paperwork in today for his graduation. We are so excited about this. Jeremiah keeps asking each morning if this is the day we go to the place with a pool. I laugh and tell him it is not until next month. He just doesn't understand that issue. :-)

Scott is liking his classes very much. He is spending a lot of time studying but seems to be enjoying the subjects. That always makes it easier. He has been fighting a migraine for the last week. I think it is due to all of the stress and thinking that is required.

I have been reading a book by Joyce Meyers called Battlefield of the Mind with Becky and I have started reading this book to my kids. This is a great book. I wish I would have known a lot of this stuff early on. If you haven't read it before, you should. :-) It is very encouraging.

Well that is it for now. I have to run the kids to youth. Bless you all and have a great rest of the week.

Lela and boyz~
