Drum Circle
Last night Scott did a drum circle with the youth group at CCT (Coshocton Christian Tabernacle) and it was so neat. He had them read "I Am A Warrior" written by Becky G. and they ended up reading it over and over 3 times. The youth pastor and sponsors loved it and the kids screamed it. The kids just got back from a christian camp last week and were still pretty pumped. One of the kids, Mike, got saved. He was able to go because our Matthew had won a free trip to camp (over $350) and since we were in MI couldn't go, so he gave it to Mike. Mike went and ended up giving his life to Christ. Matthew was very excited about it.
The youth pastor, Jason, had the room totally dark with white christmas lights outlining the "runway" and circle with the drums lining the lighted circle. He had the kids come in the room in a single file line very quietly and had recorded (and playing during the whole time) a "heart beat" which Scott called the heart beat of God. It was very cool. I got some photos of it all. :-)
My computer has had issues this month so I have not been able to get on and now it is hard to type with my hand in a brace and 3 fingers being numb. Hard to feel the keys with the numbness. Sorry I haven't been able to update. I have wanted too.
Scott is with a new team leader, Mike Dunkley. He started this past Monday with him.
He is with a different team leader every 6 months are so.
We are on vacation Aug. 1-8th. We are going with my family. This year we are in TN.
The Kodiak was at MMS last week and Scott was able to ride in it and be the co-pilot!! He got to log it into his log book and the pilot signed it off. :-) What a dream come true for him!!! Matthew was also able to take a ride in it and someone else paid for it. :-) God is soooo good!!!
Our trip to MI was so much fun. Thank you all!!!
Check out our other blog site and it has a couple of other updates. Also, Scott has loaded more photos on his flickr site. The link is on the other blog and on our website. There are photos of the Kodiak and so forth.
Bless you all,
lela
